Blackburn Academy is one of the midwest's premier mixed martial arts training facilities. The academy offers classes in all the fundamental martial arts that encompass the sport of MMA: Boxing, Muay Thai, and jiu-jitsu. The MMA specific class brings all the disciplines together to solidify the program for the most serious of competitors. Boxing

Our facility offers boxing lessons at all levels. Boxing is recognized as one of the best workouts for both men and women who wish to lose weight, build strength, relieve stress, and get into the best shape of the life.

Muay Thai

We provide instruction on all aspects of traditional Muay Thai training spanning from high intensity exercise programs to competitive ring and cage courses. Our Muay Thai training methods are renown for their aggressive style and unblemished techniques that utilize all of Muay Thai's weapons ~ the fists, elbows, knees, kicks, and most importantly; the mind.

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu

The overall strategy of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is designed to equip a physically smaller or weaker individual with an effective method of defending against a larger and stronger attacker. BJJ program is recognized for its wide student base ranging from law enforcement, to professionals, students, and teachers.

MMA

MMA or mixed martial arts is the combination of all martial arts into a competitive sport. The building blocks of MMA are boxing, muay thai, and jiu-jitsu. Our MMA class combines all the separate disciplines together and works on techniques specified for the competition of MMA.

Children's Classes

We offer children's classes that teach basic Muay Thai techniques and also ensures that each child learns a structured and goal oriented jiu-jitsu class.

Women's Muay Thai

Our all women's class incorporates Muay Thai with a few basic cross-fit methodologies to achieve a total body workout. Lose weight, have fun, and develop cardiovascular strength while learning self-defense also.
